I don’t follow art or artists, but I have a particular fondness for sculptures and Michaelangelo has made the greatest impact on me of any sculptor I know. The tangibility and realism of sculptures interest me far more than paintings or 2 dimensional art works and the permanence of marble sculptures impresses me profoundly. The magnitude of his sculptures only furthers my admiration for the tremendous effort it takes to carve a sculpture.
