I love the complexity and apparent randomness of the reference page in this, and I think you do a very accurate job of capturing and shading it. I do think some of the lines would benefit from being a little lighter so as not to overshadow the overall form, especially the ones in the foreground.
Try using a lighter hand on the outline of the shape. The weighted line adds depth and 3D volume. A heavy contour line flattens the shape. Good overall design.
