I really like the way you positioned the chair- I think it makes the layout more dynamic. I think the lines on the back of the chair could use some varied thickness to show that it is on an angle. I would think that the line closest to the right would visually have a greater gap than the line all the way to the left.
Good attempt at Negative Space. I think you learned first hand how the mind battles the hand and eye as you drew the shapes you THOUGHT you saw rather than what you actually were looking at. I might try and redo this assignment but from observation, such as a house plant or something organic, just to prove how strong your eye truly is.
