This is really good. I actually had to take a minute to figure out which of these were reference photos and which were yours, or if perhaps they were all reference photos. The variety of mark-making techniques you employ, even when they’re slightly different from the original drawings, make all the drawings look very dynamic and interesting, and you do a good job of paying attention to your line weight and using different pencil hardnesses. Awesome job!
Carley, you learned so much from your mentor and came up with a wonderful collage final project that explored expressive, emotive and volume building with mark making. You are ready for Drawing II and I am so excited to see where you will take your drawings next semester. You worked so hard all semester and it really paid off.
Rest up and see you next semester.
